Crescent roll Desert

For an 8x8 pan * I don't measure this recipe *

One tube of rolls
1 8oz container of cream cheese
2tbs butter
1.5 TBS Vanilla
2 TBS sugar

Topping
1/4 c sugar
1 TBS cinnamon

PreHeat oven at 350

Lay 1/2 of the crescent rolls (4) on the bottom of the 8x8 glass pan

Mix-Cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and sugar in a mixer until smooth and creamy. Spread on top of the crust.
lay the rest of the rolls on top pressing closer to the edges. Smear a little butter on the top of the crust and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Drizzle a little honey too (opt)

Bake at 350 for about 20 min or until golden brown and bubbly. let stand 10 min before cutting. ENJOY!!!!

Lillian Faith

Lillian Faith was born August 13 2014 @ 1120 am weighing 7lbs 12oz 21 inches long all with one push! Birth story to come.

Well my sweet Lillian is a little over one month old and I am far far behind in my blog, I'll have to catch up when I can.
The last few weeks have been extremely stressful between stuff with Thomas (therapy, school, more assessments , behaviors, expenses). Figuring out work again. I should of just worked at the nursing home until Lillian arrived bc doing the day care and needs set me way way behind . As well as some other personal stuff I really don't want to get into .... it's been a bit of a struggle. I've been managing  life as it comes but I noticed today more so then just the last few days that Lillian was more fussy then normal. And normal as in she's fussy and she's hardly EVER fussy. Well finally figured it out all the stresses has hit my milk supply. I only got one oz pumping after she ate and it wasn't long that she ate. 3rd child I know when I need to start to be worried and today was it. I started my normal routine.. tea oat meal water fenugreek etc.. but I needed something more. I didn't want beer. Ive really been turned off my any alcohol lately and it doesn't sound good so I decided to make some lactation cookies.. here is what I did!

 LACTATION COOKIE

4 Tablespoons water

1 cup real butter, soften to room temperature

1 cup flax seed (1/4 I crushed first)

1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar

2 eggs, room temperature

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups flour (all-purpose or white whole wheat)

3-4 Tablespoons brewer’s yeast (tablets at the grain bin)

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

3 cups rolled oats

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup chocolate chips (optional, I did 1/3 chocolate chip, 1/3 coconut, 1/3 plain) in my batch

Preheat oven to 350 degrees in a small bowl, combine the flax seed meal and water. Let stand for 5 minutes.In a large bowl or stand-up mixer, beat butter and brown sugar well.Add eggs and beat well.Add flax seed mixture and vanilla, beat well.In a separate bowl, sift together flour, brewer’s yeast (crushed), baking soda & salt cinnamon.Add dry ingredients to butter mixture slowly, mix well.Stir in oats. Separate into different bowls for different flavors. Add in what you want for each bowl. (Chocolate chips, amount slivers, cranberries etc) Scoop by rounded tablespoons onto baking tray, I use parchment paper so they don't sick. Bake 12 minutes or until they are very lightly brown on the edges. Do not over cook them they will get hard. And take them off right away other wise the hot pan will keep cooking them. Cool on baking tray for 3 to 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack or paper towel.

Be creative and try these variations or additions:

flaked or shredded coconut
dried cranberries, cherries, apricots or raisinswhite chocolate chips, almond slices, butterscotch chips, some honey.

I've eaten about 3 today and I've noticed some improvement... She didn't fuss as much before bed tonight. It's a start!

37weeks

i'm coming to the end of my pregnancy and it doesn't seem real. I had an ultrasound last Friday  she is measuring perfectly, she is 6 pounds 8 ounces and they estimated her head size to be about 13 to 14 inches. She did flip the couple of times but is now in the head down position and has been there for a little bit now. My doctor is watching her very closely to make sure she doesn't get too big since Finnegan got stuck at 8 pounds 3 ounces. Her bedroom is already, her car seat is done, her baby bag is read, the only thing left to do is get my stuff ready and I have a feeling it won't be until the last minute. Thomas and Olivia are beyond excited to meet Their little sister. they tell me on a daily basis how big she's getting and it's time for her to come out now..

I'll be taking a week off of work depending on how labor go then it's jumping right back into the swing of things. Not going to lie I'm a bit nervous thinking about work, school and taking care of a new born.

the last couple of months have been very crazy between weddings graduations Nicks work picnic birthday partys ultrasounds doctors appointment and saying goodbye to Alli. I'm ready for this new chapter to start in my life. Out with some of the old crap and in with the wonderfully new... hopefully sooner then later my next post will be a birth announcement.

well we finished up our assessment dowe in the cities and as we knew Thomas is Autistic. Even though we knew what the diagnosis was going to be it was still hard. the assessment was very long but it was well worth it. we meet with his school again tomorrow to go over what he needs In school and see if they can accommodate to those Needs.

in one month from now my little boy is going to be 6 years old...its not possible but I know Its happening whether I like it or not. Lol. so this last weekend we went over to our local park and took some pictures for his birthday cards and just for fun. Also marking 29 weeks pregnant with Lillian!

Baby girl is now head down. (Thank goodness) and I passed my diabetes screening. I'm pretty happy about both. She is a mover that's for sure. And she won't take me telling her to keep it down in there lol. 

Now I go every two weeks. This pregnancy is just flying by. But sadly I believe this will be my last. (Unless I do surrogacy again).

Even with the little hiccups in pregnancy it's all worth it and I am grateful God Has allowed me to carry my own children as well as for another family. 

For the most part I'm feeling great. Some pains and aches but all is well. Heart burn can stop tho. 

Big Day Tomorrow

Tomorrow we head out for Thomas appointment in the cities with Fraser. (Autism assessment). I have a very good feeling about it but I'm still nervous. It will be one long day. A day we have been waiting for.. waiting for over 8 months.

Baby is doing great. Being a bully to mommy but that's fine with me. I think last night she flipped from her breech position because I had a lot of back pain and now today I'm just really sore with a few more contractions then normal but nothing regular. I can feel her in my ribs and sides more. She's such a stinker. I'm down another pound so that's 4lbs lost so far in the last few weeks. She's ahead by 2 weeks as of this last Friday so she's sucking all she needs from me. I'm still healthy so no worries there.

The first of many

Well I thought I might as well start a Blog outside of my Surrogacy blog (itsmybellyandtheirbaby.blogspot.com/)   To keep up with life's little moments.

I had a blog years ago but I ended up making that completely private after some negative issues that didnt need to be re-read over and over. It was time to move on. 

Well as most know we are pregnant with our 3rd child my 4th pregnancy. I had my surrogate baby July 5th 2013 he was 8lbs 3 oz Finnegan K.

 It was one of the greatest experiences of my life next to giving birth to my children. I will probably talk about him in my blog as well. 

Life today.. Where to start really. I'm 24 almost 25 weeks pregnant with a little girl. So far this pregnancy has been going very well. Way Way smoother then it was with Finnegan. By this time with him I was on medication for contractions bed rest and in the hospital for the contractions and pain.. It is true where they say each and every pregnancy is different. This time around I am fighting induction as long as baby and I are healthy. Being Induced with Thomas (my first) and Finnegan I hemorrhaged and ended up needing a lot of medication to stop the bleeding. Olivia was natural besides an Epidural for pain and she had no complications. Erica My OB-GYN agrees and said I'm higher risk with induction complications since all of my deliveries the babies where face up making it a lot harder for them to come out and the bleeding. So far baby is Breech (crap) but they said I have another 10 weeks or so for baby to flip back to head down. Little stinker. 

Waiting on an ultrasound for my Thyroid. Watching a nodule for growth and change and hopefully I wont have to have surgery right away and have to worry about baby. So far Labs are looking decent showing nothing too serious (aggressive cancer)

Thomas has an appointment for his autism assessment in the next few weeks following his new schools IEP meeting. Hes been doing great in school but still having a hard time with transitioning and wanting to Flee when hes upset and over whelmed. 

Olivia is also doing great in school. Loves to please and help her teachers. She might be starting speech by the end of the year otherwise starting right before school next year.  

I love being able to stay home with them. I'm starting up daycare again and so far right now doing drop in's. My FT child is starting the beginning of June after school gets out so until then Im picking up hours at the nursing home. Hes the same age as Thomas and  he's going to be in the same class as him next year. Hes super excited. ( for the friend not school lol)

Nicks working on different projects around the house and is antsy for summer. He just finished up the boat motor and now moved to building a wood holder for all his 2x4's 2x6's etc. He tells me what he needs to get things done and I look for deals if I can.
